CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A security guard and a club patron were injured during a shooting at a strip club in north Charlotte late Sunday night.

The shooting occurred at 11:53 p.m. at Club Cabaret 124 located on Atando Avenue.

According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, some patrons inside the club became rowdy and were escorted outside by a security guard.

As soon as the door closed behind them, at least one of the suspects pulled out a gun and opened fire toward the people inside the club.

The rounds penetrated the door, striking a security guard as well as a patron inside.  Both received serious gunshot injuries and were hospitalized at Carolinas Medical Center.

By the time police arrived, the gunmen had fled the scene.

The CMPD interviewed witnesses at the club in order to obtain a better description of the suspects.

Since the club has security cameras, police are hoping surveillance video will also provide information about the gunmen.
