CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A man destroyed several thousand dollars worth of property at a Charlotte motel when he ran out of toilet paper in his room.
The man, whose identity is unknown, was staying at the Charlottetown Manor at 3501 E. Independence Boulevard, according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police report.
At 9:54 a.m. on Monday the man became upset when he ran out of toilet paper in his motel room. He became irate and walked to an upstairs room that is undergoing renovations.
Once in the room, he clogged the toilet, causing water damage to the room, broke several lights, a blow dryer and damaged the carpet, according to police.
He then went back downstairs to his room where he continued his rampage using physical force to destroy the room.
Damage is estimated at more than $2,000.
